ADVENTURES IN ECUADOR: DIARY OF A VOLUNTEER is based on my family's real-life volunteer healthcare mission to Ecuador with Causes For Change International, led by ZUlly Alvarado. Causes for Change has provided free healthcare to thousands of children in need in Ecuador, and it also advocates for those with disabilities in the United States.
This heartwarming story takes readers on the inner and outer journey of Lynn's son, Andrew, through his imaginary diary. You'll meet Fuzzy Bear, a small white toy bear, who becomes Andrew's companion, who waits for just the right owner.
As the official toothbrushing teacher, Andrew reveals the challenges and joys of volunteering. He describes his preparation, his family's experiences, and his volunteer work that boosts his self confidence.
